Immediate Dentures

An immediate denture is a denture that is made before your teeth are removed. This allows you to have replacement teeth right after your extractions. Immediate dentures can replace all of your missing upper or lower teeth. They also protect the extraction sockets, which need time to heal (usually 1 to 6 weeks). Without immediate dentures, there would be a long wait for the tissues to heal before a new denture can be made. This can take 3 to 6 weeks, during which the patient would have no teeth in their upper or lower jaws.
