Enhance Your Smile with Veneers
Dental veneers present a conservative and efficient solution for enhancing the appearance of imperfect teeth. These custom-made, thin facings are seamlessly bonded to the front of the teeth, resulting in a natural and aesthetically pleasing transformation. Veneers effectively conceal various imperfections such as misshapen teeth, minor chips, enamel defects, stains, and small gaps. They can also address minor alignment issues. A notable advantage of veneers is their minimal impact on the natural tooth, ensuring long-lasting results. Additionally, their thin structure preserves the maximum amount of natural tooth structure and is gentle on the gumline.
Initial Consultation and Care
To begin the dental veneer process, we will schedule a consultation to evaluate your dental health, oral function, and the appearance you desire for your smile. During this consultation, we will also discuss your smile goals and what you expect from the treatment. It is crucial to address any periodontal issues or cavities in the teeth involved before creating your new veneers. However, the actual veneer procedure is relatively quick.
Tooth preparation and impression taking
The extent of tooth preparation needed for porcelain veneers can differ based on the specific case and type of veneer. Nevertheless, the removal of tooth structure from the front and sides is generally kept to a minimum, just enough to achieve a natural and sturdy look. Once the teeth are prepared, an impression is taken and a porcelain shade is selected. The veneers are subsequently sent to a dental laboratory to be custom-made. Meanwhile, temporary veneer facings are utilized to cover the teeth until the permanent ones are completed.
Fitting and Installation
After the preparation of your veneers, it is essential to confirm their fit, size, shade, and shape. Before attaching them to your teeth, necessary adjustments will be made to ensure a precise fit and the best possible appearance. We will also make sure that you are satisfied with the appearance of your new smile. Once the veneers are fitted and approved, the corresponding teeth will be cleaned and the veneers will be permanently bonded using composite resin cement. If any additional modifications or minor improvements are needed, they will be done after the placement.
